Andrea is a Little Rosebud
by
Jenny Russell
She will never go to school
And play with her best friend
She will never go to Disneyworld
Or build castles in the sand.
There will be no girl scout cookies
Or slumber parties overnight,
Girlfriends sleeping on the floor
And laughing pillow fights
Sshe will never see football games
Or be homecoming queen
She will never know her first love
Or be sweet sixteen.
Her life was filled with bruises
Without a mothers love
And so my Lord, You intervened
Now she's in Heaven up above.
So choose your sweetest angel
To rock & hold her close
To sing her songs and love her
The things she needed most.
Let your angel hold her hand
And tell her nursery rhymes
And let her know the precious gift
Of a mothers kiss goodnight.
The world will long remember
Her little smiling face,
But now, sweet darling Andrea,
You are part of Heaven's grace.
